Kazem Jalali added: With the signing of this agreement, about 96 percent of Iranian goods exports to Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia as members of the Eurasian Economic Union will be carried out without customs tariffs, and in return, the exports of these countries to our country will have this advantage. will be.
He said: The free trade agreement between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union is a very big agreement that took about three years to negotiate this agreement, and at the end of these negotiations, the five member countries had to declare their agreement that such measures were taken.

In response to another question, Jalali reminded: the implementation time of the free trade agreement with Iran will be after it is approved by the parliaments of the 6 countries that are parties to the agreement.
Stating that usually the parliaments of the five countries that are members of the Eurasian Economic Union quickly approve related agreements, he expressed hope that this agreement will be approved in the Islamic Council as soon as possible during the current period of the parliament’s activity.
Iran’s ambassador in Moscow pointed out that this agreement will be submitted to the Islamic Council in the form of a bill by the government, and stated: “However much the approval of this agreement is delayed, the country will not benefit from the benefits of this agreement.”
Pointing out that Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union have signed a temporary preferential tariff agreement in the past four years, he said: During this period, the volume of trade between the parties has tripled.
Jalali noted: With the implementation of the free trade agreement, the volume of trade between Iran and the members of the Eurasian Economic Union has been targeted to 40 billion dollars in the coming years.
Previously, the Minister of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Union said in August 1402: The negotiations regarding the text of the permanent free trade agreement between the Eurasian Union and the Islamic Republic of Iran have ended, which means that the text of this agreement is ready to go through the necessary processes, including signing and approval. which we believe will follow quickly.
In an interview with IRNA reporter in Moscow, Andrey Slepnev added: We hope that the free trade agreement of this union with Iran will be signed between the governments before the end of 2023 (January 1402) and after that, this agreement will be passed in the parliaments. ) must be approved by the parties.
He continued: The member states of the Eurasian Union have a serious approach to expanding cooperation with Iran, and it seems that in this situation, the agreement will be quickly approved in the parliaments.
